I’ve also thought about “fixing” my first. It’s a Winnie the Pooh bear, and I didn’t let him finish cplowing the bear. It was hot, there was no AC and it was July in upstate NY. HUMID!! Anyway, I kinda have that same trepidation – will it “ruin” it… I like my unfinished/imperfect ink. It’s kinda symbolic of my life.

If you do outline it, Kate is right. I don’t think it will change it. It will totally add to it.

If anything, it will add to it. That years later, you are STILL proud and happy with the life you’ve created and now that some time has passed, you appreciate it even more and want to refine or define it a bit.

Ever since I got my first tattoo, I too have been curious about others’ ink and the story behind it. I was lucky enough to get an appt the same day I called and after seeing the artist’s sketch of what I wanted, I couldn’t get him to ink me fast enough. I *love* mine and am super happy with it. The story? I went ON my 40th birthday and got a tattoo of my kids’ first initials intertwined on my right shoulder. It’s beautiful. And I can’t wait to get another one!
